The Meteorological Department of India has now issued a ‘Red Alert’ in the Tamil Naidu for the 30th of April and 1st May. According to the press release issued by the report, Cyclone Fani was likely to hit the entire state over the couple of two years and very heavy rainfall are also expected to hit in the Coastal Puducherry and Tamil Naidu. The alert also revealed “rainfall at most places with the heavy falls at some of the few places with the extremely heavy at some of the isolated places” is also expected during the time of two days in the state. The report has also predicted that the heavy rainfall in some other southern states which includes Kerala, with the likelihood of the depressions forming the Bay of Bengal. Strong winds are also expected in the state from the Friday itself.
